Friday April 9, 2010 - Lottery News - Over $240 Million

I have been playing the Powerball lottery since 1992, and MegaMillions since 1998. The jackpots for each has topped $200 million a few times, once over $300 million, and combined for over a half billion dollars at least twice.

Once again, this weekend the combined total is almost one quarter billion dollars or $240 million. Oh, what a blessed thing it would be to win the $90 million MegaMillion on Friday night, then turn around and win the $150 million Powerball Saturday night.

If I was blessed with at least one, I have thought about this over the years, I would disappear for about one month. This would give all the paparazzi, family, friends, and "new family members" a little time to thin out. Next, I would look at changing the living conditions for my parents and family. Give both parent a certain amount for their comfort. I would set up 3 accounts for family members and friends. One for dad's side of the family, one for mom's side of the family, and one for my wife's family. Depending on which family friend you are would determine which account you might receive from.

A scholarship at my alma maters plus the school that one of my deceased uncles attended. A charity would be selected or created.

Finally, a trust fund for each of my children and future grand-children. A body guard and car for wife, kids, and parents. This may sound mean or cruel, but like the United States' terrorist policy, there would be no negoiation with any kidnappers in the event something like that ocurred.

That is the basics of what I could see myself doing with such huge winnings. I forgot something. The church(es) will receive combined ten per cent. Combined means many churches from one funding.

What would you do? This is what the Last Partner would do first.
